On these dates we will be meeting at the main gates of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant by 9 am, and we will carpool from the gates to our restoration sites inside the fence.  We will be removing invasive shrubs and forbs in areas that were burned this spring, or collecting seed for our Prairie Festival in November.  Wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring water and sun screen.  Please contact the Alliance at info@saukprairievision.org if you have any questions.

2. Interested in learning more about the plant communities inside Badger?  Contact the Alliance, and join us for our summer plant surveys!  No experience is required.  We will be searching for rare species in all areas of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant.  Our survey schedule is flexible, and can accommodate varied volunteer availability.

3. Do you have an organization or club that would like to have a restoration work day at Badger?  Contact the Alliance coordinator at info@saukprairievision.org to arrange a fun group work day.  We will organize an educational activity appropriate for your group--you just need to bring the volunteers!

4. The Alliance has completed prescription burning at two sites inside Badger this Spring!  A big thank-you to Jeb Barzen and the International Crane Foundation for their integral role in planning and conducting safe, effective burns inside Badger.

5. Join the Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance! We have over 200 members and we are growing. We need your support to continue to work toward a community-based conservation future for Badger.  Whether you are a member or not, you can receive periodic email updates about the Badger Reuse Process.
