Join us on Saturday, June 24th, 9am to noon, for a few hours of ecological restoration work at the Highway 12 Prairie Seed Nursery, between Baraboo and Sauk City.
We will convene just before 9am at the S-curve in Hwy 12, 3.5 miles north of Sauk City (see image below). We will be removing parsnip and Queen Anne’s lace, tearing up old landscaping cloth, and cutting and treating brush within the nursery.
Wear layers of clothing appropriate for the weather, leather gloves, a hat and boots or shoes with good tread. Since we are dealing with parsnip, PLEASE wear sturdy clothes without holes that cover as much skin as possible as to not develop any burns. We will provide water and snacks.
