Saturday, June 17th is Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance’s annual citizen science project, invasive species monitoring. This will be the 5th year of data collection and will allow us to see trends in invasive species populations, favored site conditions, and track our restoration progress in and around Hillside Prairie.
We will start at 9am with any needed training and then perform vegetation surveys until 3 or 4 pm. Lunch will be provided in the form of sandwiches, and as always, we will provide water. Please wear long pants, boots and be prepared for sun, ticks, poison ivy and other typical outdoor hazards.
This is a great opportunity to come out and learn plant identification skills and socialize with other volunteers.
See you there!
