It’s spring, and there is no better place to listen to the beautiful chorus of spring frogs than at the Badger kettle ponds. Join us for an evening field trip to explore the night sounds of spring at Badger. Retired DNR biologist MIKE MOSSMAN will be our guide. We’ll be far from ambient light and sound pollution, so you’ll have a real sensory experience!
When: Tuesday, May 1, 8pm to 10pm
Where: Meet at the front entrance to Badger (Hwy 12 between Sauk City & Baraboo, across the highway from the Citgo Station) at 7:45pm. We’ll plan to carpool into Badger.
What: Wear layers of clothing appropriate to the weather conditions. It can be chilly out there at night! Wear good shoes or boots, as we’ll be walking to several locations (over relatively smooth terrain), but it may be muddy. BRING A FLASHLIGHT, as it may be dark…
Rain Date: Thursday, May 3, 8pm to 10pm (if only a drizzle, we will go on the 1st)
