Join us on an afternoon tour of the former Badger Army Plant, and in particular the state-managed property, Sauk Prairie Recreation Area, for a look at the unique geologic features of this newest state recreation area. Our talented leader is Philip Fauble, a hydrogeologist with theWisconsin DNR.
Come learn about the long and varied geologic history of the Sauk Prairie Recreation Area, from the origins of the 1.7 billion year-old Baraboo Quartzite, to the glacial features of the Johnstown Moraine and everything in between.
Space on a school bus is limited to 30 participants; $10/person, children under 15 free.
RSVP to: firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot(s)!
This tour is part of our fall-winter series, “We Are Sauk Prairie,” and is supported with a grant from Alliant Energy Foundation. To see our complete series program, click here.
