Dr. Alison Duff, ecologist, Fire Science Consortium & Healthy Grown Potato Program, will present the second in our monthly series, “We Are Sauk Prairie” on the ecology of the original Sauk Prairie. Join us as Alison discusses the plants, animals, and conditions that shaped the historic 14,000-acre Sauk Prairie, and how our understanding of prairie and savanna ecology can inform future management and conservation within the former Badger lands.
This monthly series, “We Are Sauk Prairie” offered by the Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance, is sponsored through a grant from Alliant Energy Foundation and is open to the public. For further information about the series and for a full program, click here.
The program will be held in the community room of the Ruth Culver Library in Prairie du Sac. Refreshments available at 6:30pm. The presentation begins at 6:45pm.
