Tours, Tours, Tours!
Spring and summer are the tour seasons at Badger, and this year has been exceptional! During the months of April and May, we conducted a total of 12 tours and field trips for a wide diversity of groups. Our colleague Mike Mossman hosted two field trips at Badger, one on frogs and the other on birds. Badger tours have been provided for several groups of university students, two retirement communities in Madison, the “PLATO walkers” from Madison and Bluffview Village residents (across the highway from Badger). The Alliance conducted a public tour on May 30th for 29 people from the Sauk-Prairie area.
If you missed the May public tour, we have two more planned for later this season: July 13 (9:00am to 12:00pm) and September 26 (5:30pm to 8:00pm).
Tours are on a school bus and begin and end at the Badger History Museum at the entrance to Badger on Hwy. 12 (9 miles north of the Hwy. 12 bridge in Sauk City, across from the Citgo Station). Each tour will last approximately 2 1/2 hours. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. The tours involve no walking.
Tour cost: $15/person for members, $25/person for non-members (fee includes a one-year guest membership)
