Event: Conserve Sauk Film Festival!

Conserve Sauk Film Festival!

CONSERVE SAUK FILM FESTIVAL.  Are you an indie film enthusiast?  Conservationist?  Both?  Well, this is the event of the year for you!  An international film festival with a local focus debuts at the UW-Baraboo Sauk County campus. Covering topics including local and Midwestern conservation, sea turtles, coral reefs, howler monkeys, California predator hunts, threatened bird populations, and conservation history, Conserve Sauk Film Festival will showcase 22 films highlighting conservation topics relevant to Sauk County residents. Two award-winning films by Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance – “Restoring the Sauk Prairie” and “Of Connection and Renewal-The Historic Apple Tress of Badger Army Ammunition Plant” — will each show three times that afternoon. Award ceremony at 8pm is open to the public.  Our 26-minute documentary on the transformation of the Badger Army Plant won BEST OF FEST!  Our historic apple video won Best Production and Cinematography.
