Event: Lecture Series: Groundwater Flow & Modeling Contamination at Badger

Join us on Thursday, January 16th for our monthly “We Are Sauk Prairie” lecture series.  This month we feature Dr. Randy Hunt, Chief Science Officer, Research Hydrologist (Geology) with the US Geological Survey Upper Midwest Water Science Center.  His presentation is entitled:

Groundwater Flow and Modeling Contamination at Badger

When: January 16th, 6:30pm

Where: Ruth Culver Community Library, 540 Water Street, prairie du Sac

During our frequent tours at Badger, there is no more frequently asked question than, “Is there contamination of soil or water at Badger?”  Randy’s work focuses on groundwater flow and its effect on natural systems. He will share with us how modeling the flow of groundwater at Badger can help predict the flow of contaminants in the groundwater in and outside of Badger.

Our program series is free and open to the public.  Refreshments provided.  The “We Are Sauk Prairie” series is supported with a generous grant from Alliant Energy Foundation.
